About the Staff of HSMG
Vernon Bewley, President
As the driving force behind Hill Shepherd, Vernon's role is to help your business achieve bottom-line results, cost effectively and on deadline. Whether you already have marketing programs in place or whether you are starting from scratch, Vernon will work with you to develop and implement a plan of action to meet your current business goals though web development, media planning, brand identity, public relations, sponsorships, advertising, packaging or collateral design. Upon your approval of the project direction and estimated cost, Hill Shepherd Marketing Group's team moves forward to make your new marketing strategies reality.
With a strong background in the production agriculture and equine industries, Vernon's experience ranges beyond marketing to animal nutrition (he holds a BS in Dairy Science with a Ruminant Nutrition emphasis from Tarleton State University and spent many years as a Ruminant Nutritionist), ranch management (3,500 acres, commercial cow/calf and registered Longhorns) and programming (Visual Basic and SQL).

Amanda B. Johnson, Project Manager
Amanda has been involved in the sport of rodeo since she was in high school. She has competed in barrel racing, breakaway, and team roping. She was member of the New Mexico and National High School Rodeo Association, National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, New Mexico Rodeo Association, and has been a member of the United States Team Roping Championships. Currently Johnson is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Amanda graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Media and Communications. She is excited about the opportunities to combine her passion with a career in the equine industry.Amanda grew up in New Mexico and currently resides in Stephenville, TX. Her parents live in Capitan, NM and are owners of the West Texas and New Mexico MD Barn dealership. She has a sister and nephew in Amarillo. |

Courtney M. Bailey, Graphic Designer Courtney is a Mountain Girl turned Lone Star making her way from West Virginia down to Texas. With a back ground firm in the agricultural and beef cattle industry Courtney is able to use her knowledge in achieving the best designs possible for the clients. Growing up she was active in 4-H and FFA competing in cattle showing, dairy judging, livestock judging, land judging and horticulture. She has received her American FFA degree and proudly still supports the association. Courtney’s family lives in Burnt House, WV on a 3,500 acre beef cattle farm and own a feed and farm supply store. |

Many of our team members have rich backgrounds in the agriculture and equine fields, in addition to their respective specialties.
